Our commitment to SDGs

Girl Icon Program

Milaan Foundation’s flagship the Girl Icon Program,
launched in 2015, is an 18-month leadership initiative designed to empower adolescent girls from underserved communities in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka.

Through a combination of curriculum-based training, community engagement, leadership development, and role-modeling, the Girl Icon Program aims to transform not only the individual lives of girls but also build community perceptions towards gender equity, creating an enabling environment for girls to realize their full potential.

Our Impact

At its core, the Girl Icon Program intends to empower girls to become agents of change, equipping them with smartphones to transcend societal norms and bridge the gender digital divide. Many Girl Icons represent the first generation of girls within their communities to possess smartphones.

A commitment was made to strengthen and scale the Girl Icon Program to reach 100,000 girls by 2025.

That goal has now been realised

The difference we make
